Dollar General to open two outlets in Victorville, California
US-based discount retailer Dollar General is set to open two new stores in Victorville, California. One of the retail outlets is likely to open early April at 14532 Seventh Street.
The company will hold a local hiring event at Victorville's Hilton Garden Inn, 12603 Mariposa Road on 13 February 2012, reported vvdailypress.com.
Dollar General spokeswoman Tawn Earnest said the opening date and location of the second store cannot be released yet. Each store will employ anywhere from 10 to 50 workers depending on the size.
The discount chain announced the opening of 50 new stores in Southern and Central California earlier this year, creating more than 1,300 jobs.
Dollar General stores sell a variety of everyday items typically in small shopping plazas or strip malls. The Tennessee-based company operates over 10,000 stores.
