Eve Sleep partners with German retailer Karstadt

RBR Staff Writer Published 11 September 2017

Eve Sleep has signed a retail partnership agreement with Karstadt to be present in all 79 stores across Germany.

Karstadt will exhibit Eve Sleep’s products including mattresses, pillows and bed frames in its retail stores commencing from 1 November 2017.

Customers can buy the products of their choice either in the retail stores or through companies’ online websites.

The retail partnership agreement enhances Eve’s multichannel marketing strategy to expand its business through online as wells as in retail stores by developing partnerships in core and new markets.

Eve Sleep CEO Jas Bagniewski said: “Germany is the largest mattress market in Europe and the quality, scale and country-wide spread of Karstadt stores across major cities in Germany substantially increases eve's retail footprint, exposing new customers to our exceptional sleep products and creating an easy route to purchase.”

Following the launch, Eve Sleep’s physical presence will extend to around 143 retail stores located across UK and Germany.

Multiples stores of Karstadt are found across major cities in Germany including Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

The e-commerce firm will soon declare its interim results for the 26-week period ended on 30 June 2017.

Launched in February 2015, Eve is an e-commerce based direct-to-consumer European sleep brand that manufactures and sells mattresses and other sleep related products.

Since its establishment, the company’s present market share is estimated to be 0.1% out of the fragmented European sleep market which is estimated to be £26bn.
