Marc Glassman to close Xpect Discount store in Debry, Connecticut
Ohio-based chain retailer Marc Glassman plans to shut down its Xpect Discount food and drug store in Derby, Connecticut on 7 April 2012.
With the Debry store closure, the retailer will have five Xpect Connecticut locations, including Greater New Haven stores in East Haven, Milford and North Haven.
According to a filing with the state Department of Labor, the shop closure will put 58 people out of work, reported New Haven Register.
The Debry store is located in the Ansonia Landing Shopping Center on Pershing Drive.
Cleveland-based Marc Glassman also operates more than 50 discount stores that sell closeout merchandise and overstocked items in northeast Ohio under the name Marc's Deeper Discount Drug Stores.
