Target partners with Starbucks for Canada stores

RBR Staff Writer Published 16 February 2012

Target Canada has entered into an agreement with Starbucks Coffee Canada to feature Starbucks licensed stores across majority of its 125-135 locations in Canada.

Starbucks store openings will coincide with Target's entrance into the Canadian market beginning in spring of 2013

Many stores will have breakfast and lunch sandwich selections, as well as whole bean coffee and Starbucks VIA Ready Brew offerings, and other merchandise.

Starbucks Canada president Colin Moore said the strategic relationship represents another way the company is able to create meaningful connections with both new and existing customers.

The agreement extends the 12-year relationship between Target and Starbucks in the US. Currently, there are 1,097 licensed Starbucks locations within Target stores in the US.
